Hill College New Student Orientation Begins June 23, 2025

Hill College will host new student orientations beginning June 23, 2025, through June 25, 2025.

On Monday, June 23, 2025, orientation will be held at the Johnson County Campus (JCC) from 3 to 7 p.m. The Burleson Higher Education Center (BHEC) will hold orientation from noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The Hill County Campus (HCC) will host orientation on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from noon to 4 p.m.

While all new students are encouraged to attend, current Hill College students are also welcome. Orientation offers students the opportunity to complete ApplyTexas, an online application for public universities and colleges in Texas; all FASFA forms; and provide information for scholarship opportunities. Testing centers will also be available, providing students the opportunity to take and/or schedule their Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA). Staff will be available to assist with the registration process for all applications, testing, financial aid forms, and scholarship applications.

New and current students will have the opportunity to explore instructional programs and the college’s four career pathways (Arts & Humanities, Business & Industry, Health & Public Service, and STEM).

Students will also have the opportunity to look into student activities, including Campus Life, which provides students with activities and support to promote a sense of belonging and inclusion; Student Government Association (SGA), a group that represents the student body of the college and aids in advocating for student welfare; as well as Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), an international honor society that recognizes the academic achievement of students and encourages academic achievement of community college students by promoting the organization’s four pillars of success—leadership, service, scholarship, and fellowship.
